19 Let every person be QUICK to LISTEN, slow to speak, slow to anger…
26 If someone thinks he is religious yet does not bridle (RESTRAIN) his TONGUE, and so DECEIVES his HEART, his religion is futile.
Actions speak louder than words? Yes, they usually do!
However, when the mouth spews GARBAGE (tone, hate, lies) a hard heart is readily exposed no matter the action.
Conversely, when the mouth pours out LOVE (care, encouragement, truth) one’s sincere heart shines forth.
From two Sundays ago at Ecclesia Houston when Pastor Chris Seay started teaching through the book of James.

“As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you, O God.” All of my body yearns for you, Jesus, the living God. “My tears have been my food day and night…” Your strength and love are sufficient. Yet, why do I continue to fret? O God, fill me up with yourself and pour me out; fill us (my family, friends, fellowship & campus) up and pour us out. Never stop! “Why are you downcast, O my soul? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God.” Jesus, I desire to be anchored in your love & to be constantly replenished by your mercy and forgiveness. Why do I continue to carry this burden? No more! God is all knowing and His will for my life is best. God’s timing is perfect! I know that my soul will be satisfied as with the richest of foods. “Delight yourself in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart.” (Psalm 37:4) “By day the Lord directs his LOVE, at night his SONG is with me— a prayer to the God of my life.”
Amen. Psalm 42
