42/365: Fritellas in College Station. Boy Howdy!

41/365: Fritellas at Fritella Italian Cafe with @geeology. Mmmm, boy howdy

February 11, 2011.

My first time stopping in Aggieland, College Station, Texas. Sarah took me to Fritella’s Italian Cafe where we ordered Fritellas which are essentially yummy calzones!

After having our fill, we joined the Valentines’ Dance Party hosted by the Christian fellowship Sarah was a part of while at Texas A&M. Think 80s & 90s proms meeting present day dance parties. Of course leaving room for Jesus & appropriate dress & dancing, but still having a blast. Loved it. The music beats were jamming & the company was delightful. Thanks Sarah.

41/365: A balanced manly portion lunch… Crazy awesome!

40/365: A balanced manly portion lunch... Crazy awesome!

February 10, 2011.

Oh and the parking garage at PROS was PACKED!

Our parking garage is packed! All 8 floors?!

17/365 - Julie & Julia Child, Food Temptress

17/365: Julie & Julia Child, Food Temptress

Call it a cruel punishment if you will, but I watched Julie & Julia Monday night. Tempting. All the wonderful dishes & desserts, cheeses & breads, meats & sauces!!! Mmmm. So I just ate more ice cream :)

Julie Powell started a food blog… Hmmm, I’ve written a couple of food blog posts & taken plenty of photos of delicious dishes. Interesting

It’s a stellar simplistic movie & a beautiful love story of Julia Child & her husband. Recommend.

11/365 - Small Group Sharing The Love

Small Group loves food

Tuesday nights are the highlight of my week. On Tuesdays @ 7pm, I have the pleasure of growing with some of kindest & sincerest people. Broken & sinful, yes. However, redeemed & most joyful in Christ, indeed! May God bless our group & place His hand over each of our lives this year.

We hang out, invest our lives with each other, cook & share recipes & eat wonderful food, pour over God’s Holy Word together, ask for His Will to be done in our lives, our friends, our city, & our world, & pray to our loving God that sent Jesus, His son, who died to set us free from the bondage & eternal death of sin. Mhmmm. Love you & thank God that I found you all.

The picture above is a combined effort creation by Emily & Amanda. French crepes & delicious salad!

Interested?! Come chill with us on Tuesday nights @ 7pm in the Montrose area of Houston.

9/365 - Happy Birthday, Heidi! Opa & Coffee!

9/365: Happy Birthday, Heidi! Opa!

A gigantic Happy Birthday to my big sister Heidi!!! I love you.

After church this morning, we all ate at the always delicious Yia Yia Mary’s (Yelp) off of San Felipe. We ordered a side of hummus & pita and bread & oil. I savored the traditional beef & lamb gyro. I’m fairly certain that their meat portions are larger than that of Niko Nikos (still love them both; Mmmm NN’s rice). After our lunch entrees, we enjoyed a quick cup of coffee (decafs & regular espressos) and a slice of galaktoboureko for dessert.

Happy Birthday, Heidi @ Yia Yia Mary's

At church at Ecclesia tonight, pastor Chris Seay started a new series on Heaven. What is Heaven like? What does the Bible have to say about Heaven? Who will be there? Appearances? What will we do? How does believing in Heaven change the way we live our lives? It’s definitely going to be an exciting refresher! Check out Revelation 21 here.

For dinner, I joined the always jovial Emily & guys (who went to ACU!) from Ecclesia & ate at Chipotle. Craving coffee & dessert, I meandered over to Antidote Coffee (Yelp) for the first time & met up with Sarah (oh & ran into Cat studying). Good laughs! Tried a cup of Ethiopian coffee. Tasty! What a neat little coffee shop!

Ethiopian coffee & good times w/ @geeology @ Antidote in the Heights. Neat coffee shop!
